War 2 Trailer Review: Thrilling As Expected!
The wait is finally over! The trailer of the most-anticipated movie of the year, War 2, just dropped, and it’s nothing short of a visual storm. Bigger action, bolder moves, and a face-off that promises to shake up the YRF Spy Universe like never before. Hrithik Roshan returns as the suave and deadly spy, this time facing off against the powerhouse Jr. NTR, who brings intense energy to every scene. Besides them, Kiara Advani’s grace is raising the heartbeat, and her action sequences are adding a new layer of suspense to the story.
Whether you’re a fan of high-octane thrillers or just here for the star power, this trailer has given us plenty to talk about. Here’s my take on what makes War 2 a trailer worth watching, and rewatching.
War 2 Trailer Review

The War 2 trailer begins with two powerful declarations – one from Hrithik Roshan, who promises to become a shadow, and the other from Jr. NTR, who boldly says, “Marunga ya maarunga!” (I’ll kill or be killed!). It sets the stage for a big showdown. There’s even a moment where both stars lock eyes—but strangely, that frame felt flat and underwhelming, not the epic moment we expected.

Now, if you ask me what’s wrong with the trailer exactly, I wouldn’t have one specific answer. It’s not like there’s anything terribly wrong—but the biggest problem is that it just didn’t excite me. I was looking forward to it, but those two minutes felt dull and lifeless. And with actors like Hrithik and Jr. NTR in one frame, “ordinary” simply isn’t enough.
We have two of India’s biggest and most dynamic stars sharing screen space, but surprisingly, it’s Kiara Advani who steals the show with her sharp moves and fierce energy. Ayan Mukerji’s much-talked-about entry into the YRF Spy Universe was supposed to shake things up – but instead of a bang, it gave us doubts.
If this trailer is supposed to represent the big leap of the Spy Universe, I’m honestly not sure where it’s headed. Watching this made me miss the old War—when Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff set the screen on fire with style, energy, and action that gave you goosebumps.

With War 2, the expectations were sky-high—two superstars, a proven franchise, and a celebrated director stepping into the spy genre. But the trailer doesn’t deliver the punch it promised. It feels safe, flat, and lacking the spark that made the original War such a standout. While Kiara Advani surprises with her action, the overall vibe falls short of the explosive excitement fans were hoping for. Let’s hope the film has more fire than this first glimpse.
