Thama Teaser Review

The teaser of Thama has finally dropped, and it’s every bit worth the wait. It opens on a hauntingly romantic note with Ayushmann Khurrana’s voice asking, “Kya reh paogi mere bina sau saal tak?”—a question that instantly sets the tone of eternal love. Rashmika Mandanna’s emotional reply, “Sau saal kya, ek pal bhi nahi,” makes the moment tender and soulful. Their glances feel pure, almost timeless… until the screen suddenly takes a chilling turn.
Within seconds, we are pulled into a darker world: flashes of a terrifying villain, Rashmika’s screams echoing with pain and rage, and shadows of an ominous fate. Just when the tension peaks, Nawazuddin Siddiqui makes his grand entry with the spine-chilling line: “Arre ruk kyun gaye? Pichle 75 saal aisa romance nahi dekha, continue continue.” His presence hints that he might just be the central villain—and possibly a vampire.

One small detail that really stood out is the contrast in the costumes. Rashmika is seen in clothes that look ancient, while Ayushmann is dressed in modern attire. This sparked a theory in my mind—could Thama be set in two different timelines? The teaser doesn’t openly reveal this, but the clues are hard to ignore.
It’s possible that Rashmika’s character has been living through centuries, while Ayushmann’s character is reborn in the present day, pulling her back into an unfinished love story. And with Nawazuddin’s villainous entry, it looks like he’s the one constantly standing between them—whether in the past or present.

Adding to the intrigue is a brief but mysterious glimpse of Paresh Rawal, seen in a blood bank with Rashmika, which hints he might be playing the blood bank in charge, perhaps with some hidden connection to the vampire world. And if that wasn’t enough, the teaser also teases a glamorous item song featuring Malaika Arora, adding even more flavour to the mix.
From what we see, Thama has everything—romance, horror, action, and jaw-dropping VFX. The visuals look rich and atmospheric, while the action sequences promise to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. With the perfect mix of chills, thrills, and entertainment, Maddock’s 5th horror-comedy instalment seems all set to take fans on an unforgettable ride.
