Housefull 5 Movie Review: Worst of the Franchise

When you hear Housefull, you expect non-stop laughter, wild chaos, and a fun-filled ride – especially with big names like Akshay Kumar, and Riteish Deshmukh on the poster. But sadly, Housefull 5 turns out to be a huge disappointment.

Despite the powerful star cast, the film falls flat. It feels like a lazy mashup of jokes and scenes we’ve already seen in earlier parts of the franchise. Instead of bringing something fresh, it just recycles the same old comedy, and that too not in a good way.

Scroll down to read the full review and find out why this latest instalment misses the mark.

Housefull 5 Movie Review

Housefull 5 had everything going for it — a blockbuster franchise, a powerhouse cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and surprise entries like Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff. With such a strong lineup, you expect a fun and entertaining film. But sadly, this one misses the mark.

The only good thing is the cruise setup, which looks grand and well-shot. The entry of the veteran actors also gives a bit of hope. But once the movie starts, it quickly turns into a mess. The story makes no sense, and the jokes are either too silly or just not funny. Many of them are copied from old Housefull movies. There are also too many double-meaning jokes that feel cheap and unnecessary.

Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri bring a lot of glamour to the film and look stunning on screen. They have a decent amount of screen time, but sadly, they don’t get to do much beyond adding beauty to the frame. Their characters lack depth, and despite being present in many scenes, they’re reduced to just pretty faces with no real impact on the story.

The supporting cast is not given any importance and is just shown for glamour. The songs are forgettable, and even the actors who could have done a great job are not used well.

You can easily take a loo break or go out for a snack and not miss anything at all. The film just drags on with nothing new or exciting.

If you’re thinking of watching Housefull 5, it’s better to save your time and money. It’s not worth it — even for a one-time watch.
